Fox Kids Europe chairman/ceo Bruce Steinberg has left his post at a time when the company realized substantial revenue gains and a profit rise in its last reporting period.
A statement from the company's supervisory board did not say what were the terms or reasons for his departure, but a report in Reuters said FKE execs said it was the supervisory board's decision.
In December 2002, the former BskyB and MTV Network exec had succeeded Ynon Kreiz, the FKE chief who had built it up until The Walt Disney Co. became 76% owner of FKE. Steinberg helped FKE complete the European rollout of its new brand name, Jetix.
Paul Taylor, group md/evp for FKE, will take over as ceo on an interim basis.
