Written by Peter A. Dowling ('Flightplan', 'The Diplomat'), the 3D animated family adventure feature 'Astrid Silverlock and the Staff of Virtues' explores a world of Scandinavian mythology. Astrid Silverlock's father is missing after an ambush on a mission to restore the Staff of Virtues to its rightful home and Astrid sets out on a quest to find her father and complete his task. SMG and Bron’s Gilbert first teamed together on the Mark Pellington film “I Melt With You”, currently in post-production, starring Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe and Thomas Jane.
”Bron is excited to continue and grow its relationship with Stealth on ASTRID said Gilbert. “We are also pleased to join forces with the talented folks at Forestlight on this very original animated feature”.
“We are very happy to be involved in ASTRID which we believe has potential to be a phenomenal global animated brand. We are confident in the talented producers and creative at Bron and Forestlight Studios, with whom we already enjoy a great relationship,” said Sean O’Kelly.
“Sean O’Kelly has shown great passion for the project and along with his team demonstrated a reciprocal vision that we all believe will culminate in a classic International hit”, said Peter Lewis.
