It was announced today that Stealth Media Group (SMG), an all rights Film Distributor and International Film and TV sales company, has signed on to handle sales for the Bron Studios / Forestlight Studios co-production ASTRID AND THE STAFF OF VIRTUES!

Los Angeles/London/Vancouver/Stockholm – November 15, 2010 – It was announced today that Stealth Media Group (SMG), an all rights Film Distributor and International Film and TV sales company, has signed on to handle sales for the Bron Studios / Forestlight Studios co-production ASTRID AND THE STAFF OF VIRTUES!

The deal calls for Vancouver based production/finance group Bron Studios (Bron) to lead production while Forestlight will co-produce, with SMG handing sales. The film will be produced as an official Canada-UK-Sweden co-production. The announcement was made by SMG Joint-CEO Sean O’Kelly, the Head of Bron Studios Aaron L. Gilbert, and Forestlight CEO Peter Levin.

Gilbert will produce alongside Forestlight’s producer Peter Lewis. Casting announcements will be made in the coming weeks. Production is set to begin March 2011.

Written by Peter A. Dowling ('Flightplan', 'The Diplomat'), the 3D animated family adventure feature 'Astrid Silverlock and the Staff of Virtues' explores a world of Scandinavian mythology. Astrid Silverlock's father is missing after an ambush on a mission to restore the Staff of Virtues to its rightful home and Astrid sets out on a quest to find her father and complete his task. It's a perilous journey which tests her to the limit, forces her to prove herself as a young woman and in which she discovers the power of the truth in becoming a great leader.

SMG and Bron’s Gilbert first teamed together on the Mark Pellington film “I Melt With You”, currently in post-production, starring Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe and Thomas Jane.
