Static Shock Electrifies Saturday Mornings

The third season of the animated adventure STATIC SHOCK, set to debut on Kids' WB! January 25, 2003, features super-charged hero Static in a hip new costume as he confronts the villains of Dakota and patrols the city with his friend, and now superhero partner, Richie. Richie's newly acquired superhero identity will be revealed in the episode "Gear," debuting on February 1, 2003. In addition to a new look for its hero and a new sidekick, hip-hop musician Lil Romeo has been enlisted to perform the series main title song. Lil' Romeo will also guest-star as himself in an episode of STATIC SHOCK later this season. Also slated to appear this season are Superman and the heroes of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE, along with new meta-human villains Brainiac and She-Bang. Created by Warner Bros. Animation and based on the Milestone/DC Comics property, STATIC SHOCK follows the exploits of the first African-American teenage super hero, quick-witted Virgil Hawkins, who has electromagnetic superpowers. After being exposed to a mutagenetic gas, Virgil became "Static," an urban hero of his own creation. The third season premieres in the U.S. Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 10:30 am ET (9:30 am PT) on Kids' WB!
