Stars Come Out for 'Blue Mountain Mystery' Premiere

A host of top gathered at Vue Cinema, Leicester Square with their families to attend the blue carpet premiere of the latest action-packed Thomas & Friends feature-length special “Blue Mountain Mystery.”

A host of top celebrities including Mo Farah, Danielle Lloyd, Stacey Solomon, Jo Wood, Kate Garraway and Jo Joyner gathered at Vue Cinema, Leicester Square with their families to attend the blue carpet premiere of the latest  action-packed Thomas & Friends feature-length special ‘Blue Mountain Mystery’ ahead of its release on DVD on Monday 3 September 2012, RRP £12.99.

The world famous Fat Controller was joined by sporting stars of the moment including double Olympic Gold medallist in the 10,000m and 5000m, Mo Farah and England Cricket star James Anderson who put in an appearance with his family ahead of the much anticipated 4th One Day International against South Africa at Lords on Sunday.  And Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara also attended with wife Danielle Lloyd and son Archie (2).

Mo, who arrived with seven-year-old daughter Rhianna, performed his famous “Mo-Bot” with the Fat Controller.  He said: “We’re big Thomas fans but he’d have no chance of beating me over 5,000 metres”.

England fast bowler James Anderson, whose four wickets for England yesterday helped secure a much-needed victory over South Africa, attended with wife Daniella and daughters Ruby (19 months) and Lola (3).  He said: “I’m probably the biggest Thomas fan in our house but we’re all delighted to have a day out.  With another one-day international tomorrow (Sunday), it’s lovely to have a complete break from it all”.

And soccer star Jamie O’Hara, currently side-lined by injury, said: “Archie is a massive fan of Thomas, almost as big a fan as me.  I’ve always loved Thomas, he was my favourite as a kid!”

Other names joining Thomas’ latest big screen debut were: TV stars Stacey Solomon and Kate Garraway, EastEnders actress Jo Joyner, beauty entrepreneur  Jo Wood, comediennes Katherine Ryan &  Shappi Khorsandi and actor Shaun Dooley.

Also present were Channel Five Milkshake presenters Kemi Majeks and Olivia Birchenough.

Stacey Solomon,

in attendance with son Zachary, said:  “Zach loves Thomas.  I used to watch him as a kid with my Mum.  He’s been around for so long it’s just lovely.

Prior to the ‘Blue Mountain Mystery’ nationwide release on DVD (3 September), fans will get the chance to see Thomas on the big screen at 70 Vue cinemas across the country on  1 and 2 September.

‘Blue Mountain Mystery’ is Thomas & Friends’ 5th direct-to-DVD special. The  pre-school property remains the only brand to create an annual DVD feature, making Thomas & Friends the leader of the track.
