VFX studio Animal has signed directors Danny Yourd and Steve Hoover for worldwide commercial representation.
Veteran music video producers and directors, Yourd and Hoover have worked with Animal for years finishing music videos in postproduction. The pair recently directed two :30 commercial spots for HM Magazine and a spot for the American Institute of Architects (out of agency Giant Ideas) that were edited by Animal. Yourd and Hoover also recently shot live action footage of country singer George Strait in concert to promote Wrangler Jeans' line of George Strait blue jeans.
"We've had our eye on their work for quite a while," Animal Executive Producer Kathy Dziubek said. "It's important for us to grow our production side thoughtfully. With the increase in content driven material and viral advertising, we're excited to sign new talent that can think outside of traditional advertising lines."
Prior to joining Animal's roster, Yourd and Hoover formed Endeavour Media Group and together produced, directed and edited more than 30 music videos, which have been featured on many prominent music video outlets, including MTV, Fuse, Much Music and Target in-store videos.
The team's clients include Island/Mercury Records, Warner Bros Records, Sony/BGM, Columbia, Epitaph Records, Science Records, Rise Records, Victory Records and Tooth & Nail Records. Video credits include: Since October's DISASTER, The Classic Crime's, SEATTLE, Secret & Whisper's XOXOXO, Oh, Sleeper's VICES LIKE VIPERS, The Devil Wears Prada's, HEY JOHN, WHAT'S YOUR NAME AGAIN? A Dream Too Late's INTERMISSION TO THE MOON, Farewell's FIRST ONE ON THE BLOG, and August Burns Red's COMPOSURE.
