Spike TV'S Adult Animation Series Premieres Set

Spike TV'S Adult Animation Series Premieres SetSpike TV has unveiled an original, ambitious new adult animation block entitled, THE STRIP, to premiere on June 26, 2003 (10:00 pm - midnight, ET/PT). The weekly two-hour animation block includes GARY THE RAT, starring Kelsey Grammer, Stan Lee's STRIPPERELLA, starring Pamela Anderson, and John Kricfalusi's REN & STIMPY ADULT PARTY CARTOON.

REN & STIMPY ADULT PARTY CARTOON reunites that ornery, asthmatic Chihuahua, Ren, and his trusting, feline sidekick, Stimpy, in all new original episodes from famed creator Kricfalusi and his Spumco studio. New episodes will feature an endless supply of screams, grunts and contortions to delight the male audience Spike TV hopes to capture. Probably no other animation show has spurred so many knock-offs or influenced the look and content of animation programming since it was introduced in 1992. The show airs Thursdays at 10:00 pm ET/PT and repeats Sundays at 8:30 pm ET/PT.

GARY THE RAT stars Emmy Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer (FRAZIER) as the voice of Gary Andrews, an unscrupulous and immoral New York attorney who wakes up one morning to discover that he's turned into a six-foot rat. Gary tries to function the best he can in a "human" world. Truman, a tenant in Gary's expensive apartment building, has hired exterminator Johnny Bugz to get rid of Gary for good. Animation is by Gramnet Productions. The show telecasts Thursdays 10:30-11:00 pm, ET/PT and repeats Fridays 11:00-11:30 pm, ET/PT.

Famed creator of SPIDER-MAN, Stan Lee, gives the manly SpikeTV viewers STRIPPERELLA. Pamela Anderson stars as the voice and moves of Erotica Jones who is a stripper by night and superhero, Stripperella, even later at night. POW! Entertainment animates the series that airs Thursdays (11:00-11:30 pm, ET/PT); repeats Fridays (11:30-Midnight, ET/PT) and Sundays (8:00-8:30 pm, ET/PT).

More episodes of the original REN & STIMPY series will air in the last half-hour of THE STRIP. These earlier creations by Kricfalsi will be telecast uncut and digitally remastered from 11:30 pm-Midnight, ET/PT).

The new Spike TV cablenet will also feature athletic game shows, horror movies, uncut episodes of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and repeats of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. You can check out more about Spike TV at www.tnnonline.com.
