Spike and Mike Acquires Flash Pilot

Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation have bought the rights to the series pilot of SICKCOM from comic book artist Robert Steven Rhine (MY BRAIN ESCAPES ME, CHICKEN SOUP FOR SATAN) and his partner, animator Frank Forte (LI'L PIMP movie, THE VAMPIRE VERSES, THE CLETUS AND FLOYD SHOW).

The animated comedy chronicles the home life of a serial killer and his family. Rhine wrote and directed the show, which was animated in Flash by Frank Forte at their FrankenRhine Studios. The pilot episode, titled "Meet The Beaters," a spoof of TV situation comedies, will premiere as part of Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation at Comic-Con International at 10:30 pm on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 2003.

The festival launched the careers of many animation artist, Spike & Mike produced Mike Judge's first two BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD shorts before they made their way to MTV. The festival has hosted works from artists such as Matt Stone and Trey Parker of SOUTH PARK, John Lasseter, Tim Burton, WALLACE AND GROMITs Nick Park and Bill Plympton.
