Spidey 2.5 DVD Bound for 2005

Taking a page out of THE MATRIX and THE LORD OF THE RINGS, Columbia TriStar Home Ent. intends to release a SPIDER-MAN 2.5 DVD in 2005 with additional vfx and action scenes, director Sam Raimi told Website IGN.com. He indicated that it was a financial decision and not an artistic one on his part.

Meanwhile, SPIDER-MAN 2 ($29.96) debuts Nov. 30 on DVD in a two-disc special edition loaded with more than 10 hours of bonus features, a movie-only Superbit version ($26.96) at a higher bit rate and a collectible gift set with SPIDER-MAN ($49.95).
