Spectra Animation, a subsidiary of LÉquipe Spectra, has launched its Internet site, which can be accessed at www.spectra-animation.ca, featuring info on the company, its history, creations and development projects, plus the latest news on its activities.
The sites background image is a drawing table, an essential tool in the creation of animated drawings, says André A. Bélanger, president of Spectra Animation. Various pastels blend to produce a youthful-spirited, colorful, user-friendly site while information in each section scrolls at a click on an arrow. Yasna Rouholamini, Brenda Jones and the communications department of LÉquipe Spectras film-and-television division built the site.
Founded in 2001, Spectra Animation specializes in producing animated series and films. Its most recent creation, the KID PADDLE series, which began airing on the TELETOON channel in Canada last September, has a second season in production. Work has begun on the TOUPIE ET BINOU series, which will be seen on the TreeHouse channel starting in September 2005. Other projects under development can be found on the site.
Montreal-based Spectra Animation is a film and television division of L'Equipe Spectra (www.equipespectra.ca). The company produces and distributes animation internationally.
