Spearmark Lighting, leading UK manufacturers of child safe lighting and housewares, is set to launch a range of products based on the eagerly anticipated new animated movie Cars 2.
Cars 2 is the follow up to the hugely successful 2006 movie Cars, which followed the fortunes of a racing car named Lightning McQueen and a cast of other automotive characters as they try to win the Piston Cup .The sequel sees Lightning and his friends head around the world as they take part in the famous Race of Champions. Featuring voice talents such as Owen Wilson, Michael Keaton and John Ratzenberger the film is set for release across the world next year.
The new range from Spearmark is also set to launch next year and features a host of colourful housewares and lighting products that are sure to delight new and existing Cars fans. The housewares include a fun tyre-themed plate and bowl with matching tool-shaped cutlery, as well as a mealtime set and a variety of mugs, tumblers, drink bottles and lunch bags.
Their Cars 2 lighting range includes a variety of ceiling shades, a battery-powered night light, lenticular wall light and two types of LED task lamps – one for a desk top and one that clips on to a bed frame; ideal for shedding light onto homework tasks or a bedtime read.
“Cars was an incredibly popular movie and the sequel is eagerly anticipated so we are very excited about the potential offered by this range of lighting and housewares products,” says Alex Bloom, commercial director at Spearmark.
