Animation studio SpeakeasyFX, dedicated to creating CG character animation and vfx for the broadcast, feature film, and commercial industries, has expanded to larger quarters. The SpeakeasyFX team has moved into 2,000 square feet at 222 North Avenue West, second floor, Westfield, New Jersey.
"We needed more space for our growing staff and we were looking forward to having a home that was relaxed and encouraged creative workflow," explained Scott Stewart, SpeakeasyFX Owner/Executive Director. "Our new workspace encourages collaboration and an easy flow of information between our 20-plus staffers and the space is easily reconfigured as staff expands or contracts based on the size of projects in-house."
The SpeakeasyFX team has recently contracted with SESAME STREET for a new segment and is busy designing assets for the 3D episodes that will begin airing in November 2009, to coincide with its 40th anniversary. In addition, SpeakeasyFX is working on a number of commercial projects including a Duracell Spot for Sprout with Felix Design, an Advil commercial with Rebus Farms, Crest with Norman J, and Buick, Revlon and Cesar dog food spots with SuperFad.
The SpeakeasyFX core creative team includes Owner/Executive Director Scott Stewart, Managing Director Julie Stewart, Finance Director Ellie Copeland and Legal Counsel John Guiton; XSI generalists Dean Jones, Andre Zazzera and Eric Thivierge; Animators Haokun Liang, Kevin Scott, Brad Regier, Michael Wilson, Paul Wei, Jake Kalsbeek, Roman Kobryn and Laura Nattam; IT/System Administrators Todd Brous (Untwist) and Noah Crowley; and an administrative and support team including Mitchell Lotierzo, Josh Eisenberg, Mikaila Munoz, and Beth Dzuricky.
