20th Century Fox has hired Spanish director Daniel Benmayor (PAINTBALL) to helm HITMAN 2, reports Deadline.com. The first film's star Timothy Olyphant is not currently attached to return. Fox hopes to begin filming in fall.
Adrian Askarieh, Alex Young and Chuck Gordon are the producers with Daniel Alter exec producing. Daniel Casey rewrote a script from Kyle Ward. The story will follow the plot of HITMAN 5, which follows a broken Agent 47 trying to regain his status as the world’s most feared assassin.
