South Park Passion Spoof Hits DVD Same Day As Gibson Film

SOUTH PARKs THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST spoof, THE PASSION OF THE JEW, will hit DVD on the same day as Mel Gibsons controversial film on Aug. 31, 2004. The DVD will also include other religious themed SOUTH PARK episodes CHRISTIAN ROCK HARD and RED HOT CATHOLIC LOVE. The DVD is priced at $19.99.

In THE PASSION OF THE JEW, after finally seeing THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, Kyle has to admit that Cartman has been right all along about the Jews role in history. Inspired by Kyles change of heart and a powerful love for Mel Gibson, Cartman incites many of the films hardcore fans to band together and carryout its message. Meanwhile, Stan and Kenny also see the movie and embark upon a quest to find Mel Gibson.

In CHRISTIAN ROCK HARD, after the other boys kick him out of their band, Cartman pulls his own group together to make music for Jesus. Meanwhile, Stan, Kyle and Kenny are arrested for downloading music from the Internet.

In RED HOT CATHOLIC LOVE, when the Catholic Church scandal negatively impacts church attendance in South Park, Priest Maxi travels to Rome to confront religious leaders about a solution.
