South Park Offers Complete Third Season Turning Point on DVD

Finally, with SOUTH PARK'S pivotal third season, released on DVD on Dec. 16, 2003 (Paramount Home Entertainment, $49.99), fans get actual episode commentary - or "commentary-mini" - by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who riff for five minutes before all 17 episodes. Called a turning point by Parker and Stone, the third season from 2000 was actually produced while making the feature, SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT. The creators proclaim "Tweek vs. Craig," "Jewbilee" and "Worldwide Recorder Concert" as their favorites, champion "Jakovasaurs" and "Sexual Harassment Panda" and trash the entire second season. Among THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON highlights gracing the three-disc set are: the SCOOBY-DOO-inspired "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery," which argues whether the term should be "pirate ghosts" or "ghost pirates"; "Rainforest Shmainforest," which pokes fun of environmentalists utilizing the guest voice of Jennifer Aniston; and the shamefully irreverent "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics."
