Sony Online Entertainment has laid off a third of its staff, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The move means 205 employees will lose their jobs and the company will shut down offices in Denver, Tucson and Seattle.

The restructuring move sees the division stopping work on the MMOG title THE AGENCY. SOE will now focus on creating new MMOs for its franchises PLANETSIDE and EVERQUEST.

SOE will continue at its Austin and San Diego locations, which both lost nearly half their staff. FREE REALMS, STAR WARS GALAXIES, LEGENDS OF NORRATH and STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS ADVENTURES, which were being worked on in Denver, and POXNORA, in Tucson, will be moved to San Diego. Austin operates DC UNIVERSE ONLINE and STAR WARS GALAXIES, while San Diego manages EVERQUEST, PLANETSIDE and VANGUARD.
