After some confusion over what roles various actors were vying for, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that THOR's Chris Hemsworth is in talks to take the male title role in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. Sam Claflin (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES) will be playing the prince. Kristen Stewart has signed on to play Snow White and Charlize Theron the evil queen.
The new take on the fairy tale finds the huntsman taking Snow White into the forest and training her to defend herself against the evil queen. Rupert Sanders is directing.
Previously Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman and Joel Edgerton had circled the huntsman role.
