Press Release from Framestore

Framestore is welcoming back Smoke artist, Matt Clarke, into the fold after a two year spell of working abroad.

Clarke started his VFX career at Framestore in 2000 as a runner but his talent was swiftly identified and within six months he was promoted. By 2003 Clarke had earned his stripes as a Smoke operator and went on to craft VFX for many critically acclaimed spots including award-winning Richard Ayoade promos (Arctic Monkeys Flourescent Adolescent and The Last Shadow Puppets' My Mistakes Were Made for You which won the 2009 NME best video award). However, in 2008 Clarke was tempted away by the Dutch lifestyle. He worked for Glassworks' Amsterdam satellite creating VFX for local clients like Wieden + Kennedy, 180 Amsterdam, Kessels Kramer and TBWA on campaigns such as Nike, Adidas, EA Games, ESPN, McDonalds and Specsavers. Clarke has now decided to return to Framestore to continue working with high profile clients.

Framestore MD, Helen Stanley, said: "Matt was first introduced to us a decade ago. He became part of the family very quickly so we were sad to see him go overseas. But it's a ringing endorsement that he's decided to return - not only do we benefit from his great talent, but it is also particularly gratifying that people like coming back to us!"

Framestore is an Oscar-winning visual effects company and the UK's leading authority on stereoscopic 3D. Framestore uses innovative talent and technology to create hi-end images for every platform. In addition to working for Hollywood studios, advertisers, ad agencies, production and gaming companies, Framestore also generates its own paid-for content: eg - VFX in Your Pocket and Polar Peril.
