The CW announced that SMALLVILLE would be returning for its 10th and final season in the fall, reports VARIETY. Star Tom Welling let it slip that the network was going to announce the farewell season at its upfront. This past season the series scored top ratings from men 18-34 and men 18-49 in its Friday 8 pm timeslot.
SMALLVILLE debuted on the WB Network in October of 2001. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created the series and served as its showrunners through the 2007-08 season. Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson exec produce alongside James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola.
