November 8, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) – Six Point Harness Animation Studio is slated to work with Playtone on the sci-fi based internet series Electric City, a compilation of twenty three-minute webisodes. The concept, that chronicles a highly stylized post-apocalyptic future, is based on an original idea by Tom Hanks. Electric City will be produced in conjunction with Mumbai-based Reliance Big Entertainment.

The web series is expected to expand across varied platforms after its web debut.

“We’re excited to be collaborating with such talented visualists as the team at Six Point Harness,” says Gary Goetzman, Hanks’s Playtone partner and co-founder.

This is Six Point Harness’s first collaboration with Playtone.

“Six Point Harness immediately impressed us with their can-do attitude and creative spirit,” agrees Josh Feldman and Bo Stevenson, new media producers for Playtone.

“Our studio is excited to work on a project of this magnitude, not only because of the various platforms that it is capable of jumping to, but because of the high quality design work we will be providing to these A-list clients,” said Six Point Harness CEO Brendan Burch. “Being hired by Playtone and working with a distribution powerhouse like Reliance is definitely a testament to our body of work.”

The project will be directed by Six Point’s Joel Trussell. Trussell is a seasoned animation guru whose cutting edge style continues to be in high demand.  Joel’s work credits include projects with MTV, Wildbrain, Nicktoons, and more.
