FOX is set in motion a new sci-fi series named THEM, based on the graphic novel SIX, written by Michael Oeming and Daniel Berman, reports VARIETY. The pilot will be directed by Jonathan Mostow (TERMINATOR 3) and written by David Eick (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and John McNamara (PROFIT). All three will exec produce with Circle of Confusion's David Engel and David Alpert. CBS Paramount Network Television is the production house on the show.
Story details are on a need to know basis, but the general premise sees extraterrestrial terrorists who can take the form of humans, who second guess their mission after beginning to feel human emotions.
"On a surface level, it's a really cool science fiction thriller," Mostow told DAILY VARIETY. "But underneath, it's a very provocative show that's really going to explore what it means to be human, to be a person."
