The Simpsons Season 18 Finale/400th Episode Airs May 20

THE SIMPSONS sees its season 18 finale with two episodes airing in a one-hour block 8-9:00 pm on May 20, 2007, on FOX.

Airing at 8:00 pm is â24 Minutes,â written by Ian Maxtone-Graham & Billy Kimball. Raymond Persi directs this parody of 24 in which Bart (in the field) and Lisa (at CTU â Counter Truancy Unit) must stop the bullies (Dolph, Kearney and Jimbo) from releasing the ultimate stink bomb at the schoolâs annual bake sale. Guest voices are Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer and Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe OâBrien.

At 8:30 pm, the 400th episode is âYou Kent Always Say What You Want,â written by Tim Long. Matthew Nastuk directs the episode in which Kent Brockman utters a vulgarity on live television when coffee is spilled on his lap. Ned Flanders starts a campaign to protest Kent and his news station. The FCC fines the station, Kent gets demoted and eventually fired. With Lisaâs help, Kent webcasts the truth about media control by big corporations, including FOX. Guest voice is Chris âLudacrisâ Bridges as himself.

Currently the longest-running sitcom on television, the critically acclaimed series features Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson, who take traditional family life and turn it upside down. Exploding into a cultural phenomenon in 1990, THE SIMPSONS has remained one of the most visible and marketable properties domestically and internationally. It received a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in January of 2000 and will have a new mega-attraction at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in spring 2008.

Now in production on its 19th season, this multi-Emmy Award-winning series is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening and Al Jean are the current exec producers. Film Roman is the animation studio.
