'The Simpsons'' Joel Cohen to Keynote Kidscreen Summit

Kidscreen attendees to learn “Tao of Homer” lessons in creativity from the man behind television’s biggest animated hit.

Kidscreen Summit announced that a keynote from The Simpsons’ Joel Cohen will open 2013’s biggest gathering of kids entertainment professionals from around the world.

Joel Cohen

As Co-Executive Producer of the iconic animated series, Cohen has himself written many episodes of the show, dating back to his first in 2001. He will kick off the Kidscreen Summit conference program on the morning of Tuesday, February 5 with a customized keynote presentation called “The Tao of Homer: Lessons in Creativity From The Simpsons” that’s sure to make the event’s crowd of 1,600 attendees laugh and think about the business in new ways.

“With this year’s keynote, we wanted to bring in a highly successful creative talent to inspire and entertain our delegates,” says Jocelyn Christie, VP and Publisher of Kidscreen. “Nobody fits that bill better than Joel, and we’re looking forward to laughing along as he explores the creative process in kids’ entertainment through the filter of one of the greatest animated characters of all time.”

Last year, Kidscreen Summit welcomed nearly 1,600 attendees, representing 900+ companies from 46 countries around the world. And more than 350 kids TV buyers and investors were at the event looking for new content and partners.
