Siggraph 2004 Moves To Los Angeles

Siggraph ACM has announced that SIGGRAPH 2004, the 31st International Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, will be held August 8-12, 2004 in Los Angeles, California, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Originally scheduled for Atlanta, organizers say the decision to change the location to Los Angeles was made to better serve the needs of both attendees and exhibitors. "We are very pleased with the selection of Los Angeles as the host city for SIGGRAPH 2004," said Dena Slothower, SIGGRAPH 2004 Conference Chair from Stanford University. "Both our attendees and exhibitors prefer a West Coast location, and we are happy to be able to accommodate them by returning to Los Angeles." SIGGRAPH 2004 will be the fifth time SIGGRAPH has been in Los Angeles in recent history, as the conference took place there in 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2001. SIGGRAPH 2004 hopes to bring more than 30,000 computer graphics and interactive professionals from around the world to the city for the 5-day conference and 3-day exhibition. SIGGRAPH 2003 will be held July 27-31, 2003 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. The SIGGRAPH 2003 Call for Participation is available at www.siggraph.org/s2003.
