Shuffle Inc., an international television commercial production company with offices in Venice, California, and Tokyo, Japan, has launched Shuffle USA as a new operating unit.
The new Shuffle USA unit is currently seeking to build its roster of directors for future TV commercial productions, which will be produced within North America for American clients. Alan Bresnick, vp/coo, is in discussions with a wide range of international directors, including those from music videos, feature films, television series, film festival circuits and animation arenas. Shuffle USA is also requesting that these new directors submit their reels for company consideration.
Historically, Shuffle has produced many memorable and often groundbreaking commercials for the Japanese market, many of which were helmed by major film, television and music video directors, and often featured internationally famous celebrities. To date these have included Guy Ritchie (SNATCH), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (21 GRAMS) Barbara McDonough, Meiert Avis, Stephane Sednaoui, Jim Gable, Yoshimitsu Morita, Tom Iriya and Lance Accord, among others.
Commenting on the expansion, Bresnick said, "Shuffle has been highly successful in producing television commercials for the Japanese marketplace for close to 20 years. We felt the time was right for us to now look toward North America, to seek new relationships with talented directors and exciting advertisers. Our proven track record in international production speaks for itself. We now wish to bring that expertise to advertising agencies and corporate advertisers based in New York, Chicago Los Angeles and elsewhere."
