A free, limited edition read-along CD of SHREK AND FIONA'S HONEYMOON STORYBOOK will be given away to every child attending during the opening weekend of DreamWorks' SINBAD: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN SEAS. The exclusive giveaway lasts July 2-6, for as long as supplies last.
The read-along storybook, which has an estimated value of $9.95, will be given away, one per child, with each paid admission. Theater managers will also have a limited number of rain checks on hand with instructions on how a child can receive his or her CD if the supply runs out before the end of the weekend.
The read-along storybook picks up the fairy tale immediately following the end of computer-animated blockbuster, SHREK, as Shrek and Princess Fiona are about to embark on their honeymoon-with Donkey tagging along for the ride. But before they can get underway, Fiona is kidnapped by a now-ghostly Lord Farquaad, and the adventure begins.
The read-along storybook mirrors the short film that is now being shown in the SHREK 4D attractions at the Universal Studios theme parks in Hollywood and Orlando. The read-along storybook also reprises the voices of the original SHREK cast of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and John Lithgow. The read-along story is narrated by John Cleese, who will also be heard as the voice of Princess Fiona's father, King Harold, in the upcoming sequel, SHREK 2, opening summer 2004.
