DreamWorks Animation's SHREK FOREVER AFTER stayed strong at the U.S. box office over the Memorial Day weekend finishing in first place. SHREK 4 earned a $43.4 million more, lifting its cume to $133.2 million.

The big new releases of the weekend were left fighting it out for second. As it stands SEX IN THE CITY 2 has a slight lead with $31.1 million and $45.4 million since Thursday. No matter where it finishes Disney's PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME missed the mark with movie-goers. In it's debut weekend, the video game adaptation made $30.1 million. PRINCE has visual effects from Double Negative, Bain VFX, BlueBolt, Centroid Motion Capture, Cinesite, Framestore, Lipsync Post, Matte Painting, Mobius MC, The Moving Picture Company (MPC), Nvizage, Nvizible and Peerless Camera Company.

IRON MAN 2 placed #4 with an additional $16.3 million. With visual effects from Industrial Light & Magic, Double Negative, Hydraulx, Centroid Motion Capture, The Embassy Visual Effects, Evil Eye Pictures, Fuel International, Legacy Effects, Lola Visual Effects, Pixel Liberation Front, Pixomondo, Prologue Films, Svengali Visual Effects, The Third Floor and Trixter Film, the superhero spectacle has made $274.9 million.

ROBIN HOOD stole the fifth slot with $10.3 million. With vfx from The Moving Picture Company (MPC), Lola Visual Effects, Centroid Motion Capture, FB-FX, Hammerhead Productions and Plowman Craven & Associate, the Ridley Scott production has collected $83 million thus far.

Romantic tales came next. In sixth, LETTERS TO JULIET earned $5.9 million with a cume of $36.6 million, in seventh, JUST WRIGHT made $2.15 million with a cume of $18.1 million, and in eighth, DATE NIGHT brought in another $1.8 million with a cume of $93.5 million.

MACBRUBER arrived in ninth with an additional $1.55 million. With vfx from Gradient Effects and Great FX, the SNL adaptation has snatched $7.2 million in total.

DreamWorks Animation bookended the top ten with its HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON arriving at #10. The hit animated feature earned another $1.06 million, making its cume $212.7 million.
