The Sharpe Company Expands

Nevada-based licensing firm The Sharpe Company has opened a branch office in Los Angeles and expanded their executive staff. In addition to the new office, Sharpe has added Mary Kean as senior licensing director and Kathy Gorden as creative director. Prior to joining Sharpe, Kean was manager of brand merchandising at AskJeeves.com and The Roger Richman Agencys director of licensing for such celebrity icons as Albert Einstein and Steve McQueen. Kathy Gorden has extensive marketing, design and print production experience. Before joining Sharpe, she was an art/creative director in the licensing industry and worked for C3 Entertainment and Global Icons. Based in the new Los Angeles office, Kathy will manage licensed property product approval, working with agents, licensees and property creators. Among other properties, The Sharpe Company represents THUNDERBIRDS in North America for London-based Carlton International Media Ltd. The puppet-animated series is staging a comeback and Sharpe president Charles Day said the company would soon announce details of a new alignment with TechTV.
