Multi-hyphenate talent and Family Guy voice actor Seth Green expressed his approval of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, and paid his compliments to the director via Twitter.

In a tweet posted earlier this afternoon to his 877,000+ followers, the director of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken commented, “Well guys, #ManOfSteel is pretty freaking awesome. Congrats @ZackSnyder -hope you have a great weekend.”

And there you have it. With forecasts set at $139 million, the Superman origin tale from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures is already on track to set a new opening weekend record for the month of June, potentially beating out the current record-holder, Pixar's animated sequel Toy Story 3, which debuted at $110.3 million.

Man of Steel also opens in 24 international markets this weekend, including the U.K., South Korea and Mexico. The film has already landed in the Philippines and Taiwan, earning $1.7 million and $794,742, respectively. The following weekend, the tentpole feature opens in 26 additional markets, including China, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain.

Produced by Christopher Nolan, who wrote the script with David S. Goyer, Man of Steel film stars British actor Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, who attempts to hide his superpowers and live a normal life on Earth. Amy Adams stars as Lois Lane, and Michael Shannon takes on the role of the menacing General Zod.
