The 21st Torino Film Festival is the youngest of the important Europeans festivals and in constant growth. The Festivals purpose is to constitute a meeting point for contemporary International cinema and to provide the opportunity for a discussion on all its perspectives and artistic trends. The Festival will pay particular attention to emerging cinemas and filmmakers. The Festival is divided into several sections, including: The International Feature Film Competition open to works completed after September 1, 2002, in 35 mm, 16 mm or digital video. Entries must not have been screened in Italy or have been entered into competition at Cannes, Berlin or Locarno. The International Short Film Competition is open to 35 mm or 16 mm shorts up to 30 minutes completed after October 1, 2002. Entries must not have been screened in Italy. Animation films excluded.
