Topping the box office for the second weekend in a row, THE SCORPION KING, with visual effects by Centropolis FX, took in $17.6M for a two-week total of $60.8M. However, THE SCORPION KING should be on the look out for SPIDER-MAN, who will no doubt dominate the box office next weekend, when it debuts on May 3rd. Psychological drama CHANGING LANES took second place again this weekend, earning $9M with $44.6M to date. Two new releases took third and fourth place with weak debuts. Romantic comedy LIFE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT was in third with $6.6M and the tenth installment of the FRIDAY THE 13TH series, JASON X, with visual effects by Toybox, slashed its way to fourth with $6M. Disney's feel-good baseball pic THE ROOKIE dropped two spots but managed to come home with $5.4M for a strong total of $60.5M to date. In its seventh week of release, Blue Sky's ICE AGE is still performing well, landing in seventh place with $4.6M and a cume of $165.3M.
