San Francisco Film Fest Puts Out Call

The 45th San Francisco International Film Festival has put out a call for entries for its 2002 festival to run April 18 - May 2. Submissions are open to narrative features, documentaries, shorts, animation, experimental and television productions on film, video and digital media. The entry deadline is November 30, 2001. The four divisions include: Film and Video, for independently produced documentaries, short narratives, shorts for children and animation; Television, for current commercial, noncommercial and cable television production; New Visions, for experimental works that challenge the language of film and video and where personal expression and aesthetic exploration are the primary concerns; and Bay Area, for documentaries and shorts from Northern California. Golden Gate Award winners in the Film and Video, New Visions and Bay Area divisions receive a US$500 cash honorarium. An international jury will award Grand Prizes for Best Short and Best Bay Area Short. The Grand Prize winners will each receive a $1,000 honorarium.
