San Diego Asian Film Festival Taking Toons!

San Diego Asian Film Festival 2004San Diego, California, USAOctober 13-17, 2004Deadline: May 30, 2004

San Diego Asian Film Festival will showcase animated short films produced by Asian Americans in a 90-minute all-animation program. The goal is to give Asian American filmmakers an outlet to showcase their work in "America's Finest City," while fostering support for the independent film community. Last year, SDAFF screened more than 110 films with many industry celebrities in attendance. The all-animation program was a resounding success with more than 30 animated shorts.

All forms of animation (traditional, stop-motion, Flash, CGI, etc) will be accepted. Films by all animators pertaining to Asian American issues and themes will also be considered. Only VHS & DVD preview formats are accepted and the formats for exhibition are Beta, 16mm and 35mm. The early deadline is April 15, 2004. For more submission guidelines and entry form, please surf to www.SDAFF.org.
