Jeremy Zag's Zagtoon, Ben Stassen's nWave, StudioCanal and Nexus Factory are teaming to bring the SAMMY'S ADVENTURE film franchise to TV, reports Variety. The 52x13 series will be budgeted at Euros 8 million ($11.5 million).
The series will follow Sammy the sea turtle's grandchildren's underwater adventures. The show will follow the same eco-friendly theme as the features, SAMMY'S ADVENTURES: THE SECRET PASSAGE and A TURTLE'S TALE: SAMMY'S ADVENTURE.
Additionally, Zagtoon is working on a 3-D CG series called KOBUSHI, which follows a sushi-obsessed cat. The 104x7 series is a co-production with Malaysia-based Inspidea. Zagtoon is also developing the anime series SWEET POWER with Studio Hibari.
