Rygiel to Kick Off VES Spring Speaker Series

The Visual Effects Society (VES) will present the VFX Spring Speaker Series, with some of todays leading visual effects artists sharing their craft. Topics will be free flowing and interactive, with a focus on problem solving.

The speaker series is designed to enlighten not only members of the visual effects community, but interested members of the public as well. All events will take place at the Otis College of Art & Design, 9045 Lincoln Blvd., Los Angeles (Otis Forum, First Floor). There is no charge to attend. * Three-time Oscar winner Jim Rygiel (LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy) on March 26, 10:00 am -12:30 pm.* Oscar and BAFTA nominee Michael Fink (CONSTANTINE, X-MEN, BATMAN RETURNS) on April 23, 10:00 am 12:30 pm.

Founded in 1997, the Visual Effects Society (www.visualeffectssociety.com) is an organization comprised of distinguished visual effects artists desiring to honor, advance and promote visual effects for its membership and the industry as a whole. The Society promotes continuous awareness about the visual effects industry, supports combined technology research and development, and designs and implements educational programs for its membership and the public interested in the production of visual effects.
