Rupert Dilnott-Cooper, Helen McAleer Join Rocket Licensing

Independent licensing and brand development company Rocket Licensing has announced the appointment of two media figures as non-exec directors of the company.

Rupert Dilnott-Cooper and Helen McAleer have many years of experience in senior roles in such major entertainment companies as Carlton Communications, Walker Books, Channel 4 and BBC Worldwide.

Dilnott-Cooper brings a wide range of media experience to his new role. Recently a board director of Zodiak Television AB and a trustee of television for the Environment Limited, a director of Myvideorights.com and an advisor to Credit Suisse DLJ Media Partners, he was also a director of Darlow Smithson Productions, Diverse Productions and an advisor to Channel 4 Ventures.

Dilnott-Cooper's background also includes senior posts with ITC Ent., ATV/Central Television and Central Television Enterprises, which eventually became Carlton International Media Group. A former CEO of Carlton Content and a director of Carlton Communications Group Executive Board, he was also a Founding Director and later Chairman of British Television Distributors Association (now merged into PACT) and Director of Meridian Broadcasting.

McAleer is currently managing director of Walker Books, the U.K.'s biggest independent children's publisher. She is also a director of Walker Productions which takes intellectual properties owned by Walker Books and develops them into television and online opportunities.

Before joining Walker Books, she worked at BBC Worldwide for 12 years across many different businesses, including book publishing, DVD and merchandising. By the time she left she was responsible for the investment, acquisition and distribution of all children's rights and properties at BBC Worldwide.
