Rocker Zombie & Cartoonist Niles Form Creep Ent.

Metal rocker-turned-film director Rob Zombie and author-cartoonist Steve Niles have formed a new production company, Creep Entertainment Intl, reported VARIETY. The firm already has lined-up three comicbook inspired projects -- THE NAIL with Dark Horse Comics, BIGFOOT with IDW Comics and LORDS OF SALEM. Zombie and Niles have co-written the scripts for all three films.

After directing various music videos, Zombie made his feature debut on the horror film HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES. Lions Gate, which released the original, has commissioned Zombie to do a sequel. His first foray into comics was with his one-off title, SPOOKSHOW INTERNATIONAL, which debuted in October 2003.

Niles has had several of his comics optioned by studios, including WAKE THE DEAD and HYDE by Dimension Films; the vampire tale 30 DAYS OF NIGHT by Columbia Pictures; and his Cal MacDonald titles by MGM.
