Ottawa (January 11, 2011) – Amberwood Entertainment is pleased to announce that SVT has licensed the broadcast rights for its newest pre-school series, Rob the Robot, for Sweden.
The 52 x 11 minute 3D series follows the adventures of Rob and his friends as they explore the fantastical planets of the Robot Galaxy which are ripe with humour and fun.
“We are delighted to be working with SVT” says Jonathan Wiseman, Senior Vice-President at Amberwood. “They are a strong partner for Sweden and we are excited for Rob to join their line-up.”
Rob the Robot is currently in production and was commissioned by Canada’s TVOKids. SRC, Knowledge Kids, and Access are also onboard for the property which has already been commissioned for a 2nd season of an additional 52 episodes.
The series is a co-production between Canada’s Amberwood Entertainment and Singapore’s ONE Animation. It is produced with support from the MDA, CMF, and the Shaw Rocket Fund.
