RESFEST Continues Its World Tour

After successful screenings in San Francisco and New York, the 6th Annual RESFEST will come to Hollywood's Egyptian Theater October 30-November 3, 2002. Showcasing innovative digital films, music videos and animation, the directors of RESFEST created seven thematic shorts programs from over 1,500 submissions. Notable animation screenings include Robert Bradbrook's Cartoon d'Or winning film HOME ROAD MOVIES and the U.S. premiere of Phil Mulloy's THE INVASION. In addition, RESFEST offers a chance to see some of the most innovative music videos around, including the White Stripes' "Fell in Love with a Girl." Directed by Michel Gondry, this extremely cool video was created by animating nearly 3000 individual LEGO scenes. Other notable music videos include U.N.K.L.E.'s recent LEAF Award winning video "Eye for an Eye," directed by Shynola and the truly disturbing "Where's Your Head At" by Basement Jaxx. Directed by the Scandinavian collective TRAKTOR, the video features the band members' faces composited onto the heads of laboratory test monkeys. After its Los Angeles run, RESFEST continues on to various international locations including Cape Town, South Africa (November 11 14); London, England (November 14 - 19); Tokyo, Japan (November 22 - 24); and Seoul, South Korea (November 29-December 5).
