Entries are needed for RESFEST 2003, an annual, touring, global festival dedicated to showcasing innovative film, music, art, design and technology. Now in its seventh year, the five-day festival showcases the year's best shorts, features, music videos and animation. Programs on tap for the 2003 festival include Off the Map, Cinema Electronica, Videos that Rock, By Design and more.
Off the Map, is a new program of innovative short films under five minutes in length, that focus on geography cultural, physical or environmental with a global perspective with a $5,000 prize. The best films in this category will have a shot at international TV exposure on the National Geographic Channel.
RESFEST 2003 will be in San Francisco for the first time at the 1000-seat Palace of Fine Arts in September 2003. Dates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Toronto and additional international dates follow. Selected films compete for the Audience Choice award given at conclusion of global tour.
