Ren & Stimpy Returns on Nicktoons

Nicktoons, Nickelodeons 24-hour animation network, announced that THE REN & STMIPY SHOW would return to kids television for the first time since 2002. Upholding their tradition of crude and rude misadventures from original creator, John Kricfalusi, THE REN & STIMPY SHOW will premiere on Nicktoons Network beginning August 2005.

Nicktoons Network will present all three seasons of the original series. The show is scheduled begin July 30 at 9:30 pm ET and will air regularly weekdays at 11:30 pm ET and weekends from 11:00 a.m. 12:00 pm ET with two back-to-back episodes.

Were thrilled to add the cult classic, REN & STIMPY, to our air, said Keith Dawkins, vp/gm, Nicktoons. The show is timeless because it combines great style, great humor and a truckload of attitude. We're excited about bringing this original Nicktoon back to our audience. REN & STIMPY represents the type of bold, experimental, creator-driven animation that Nicktoons and our Nicktoons studio is all about.

Nicktoons, Nickelodeon's 24-hour animation network, is seen in more than 34 million homes nationwide. The network's 24-hour schedule features exclusive original programming such as CORNEIL AND BERNI, KAPUT AND ZOSKY and NEXTOONS: THE NICKTOONS FILM FESTIVAL as well as a roster of hits, including THE ANGRY BEAVERS, YAKKITY YAK, INVADER ZIM, AHHH! REAL MONSTERS, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS and JIMMY NEUTRON. Nicktoons is a part of the MTV Networks expanded suite of channels available for digital distribution.
