Redford Horse for Charlotte Voice Work

Adding more star power to the cast of live-action/CGI CHARLOTTES WEB, Robert Redford has signed on to voice Ike, the arachnophobic horse who faints at the first glimpse of Charlotte, reports VARIETY. The picture is currently filming in Melbourne.

Redford joins other star voices, which include Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, John Cleese, Steve Buscemi, Cedric the Entertainer, Reba McEntire, Kathy Bates, Thomas Haden Church and Andre Benjamin. Dakota Fanning is the films live-action heroine.

Susannah Grant and Karey Kirkpatrick adapted the screenplay from E.B. White's story. Gary Winick is directing. The film is a co-production of Kerner Ent., Paramount, Walden Media and Nick Movies. Jordan Kerner is producer; exec producers are Edgar Bronfman, Kerner production head Paul Neesan, Nick Movies' Julia Pistor and Bernie Williams. Walden evp Alex Schwartz and Paramount production president Karen Rosenfelt are shepherding the film.
