Random House Signs CAKE for 'Wanda and the Alien'

RHCSE and Komixx sign a distribution deal with CAKE for “Wanda and the Alien.”

London, UK -- Random House Children's Screen Entertainment and Komixx Entertainment announce

a distribution deal with CAKE for children’s favourite, Wanda and the Alien.

Based on a series of books about a little girl rabbit who meets an alien, Wanda and the Alien celebrates how people are both alike and different. Authored by award-winning writer and illustrator, Sue Hendra, the book series appeals to both pre-school boys and girls.

Leading kids’ and family entertainment content distributor, CAKE, will handle content distribution for a series already in pre-production. The first of 52 x10-minute episodes is scheduled for broadcast in Q4 2013 on Channel 5 milkshake! The TV series also represents the first book-to-screen transfer for the Random House joint venture, RHCSE.
