Ragosine Joins Fox Home Ent. as VP Public Relations

Industry vet Dorrit Ragosine joins Twentieth Century Fox Home Ent. (TCFHE) as vp of public relations, to drive the consumer public relations effort for the studio's new release, catalog and television titles and play an overall strategic role in communications for the division.

"Dorrit is an incredibly creative executive with great gut instincts and at the same a strategic industry veteran who is not afraid to try new things or approach the business differently," said Steven Feldstein, svp, corporate and marketing communications, TCFHE, to whom she reports. "That's makes her the perfect fit for Fox."

Ragosine comes to Fox with some 20 years of public relations experience with an emphasis on home entertainment and consumer packaged media categories. Most recently, she launched the domestic public relations department for MGM after that studio consolidated its global home entertainment activities with TCFHE. One of her most recent and notable campaigns was the complete, four-volume JAMES BOND films collection on DVD.

Before MGM at Fox, Ragosine was evp of cho HighWater Group, where she opened and ran all aspects of the company's Los Angeles office and drove the company's expansion into the film and home video markets. Previously, she headed her own marketing communications consultancy with a client roster including TCFHE., Buena Vista Home Ent., DreamWorks Home Ent., Universal Studios Home Ent., author Cynthia French and Park One, among others.

Prior to her consulting work, Ragosine served as exec director of publicity for Paramount Home Video and she spent eight years at Walt Disney Home Video, where she worked on both rental and sell-through campaigns for films, such as PULP FICTION, SISTER ACT and THE LION KING.

She began her career via volunteer work for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has continued to represent not-for-profits throughout her career on either a volunteer or client basis, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Festival of Children and The National Eating Disorders Assoc.
