Radium Adds Three to Staff

Three new members have joined the Radium team vp/head of production Carey Crosby, producer Julie Goldberg and compositor Todd Hemsley. Crosby will be based in the San Francisco office, but will manage all producers and production in both locations.

We are thrilled to have Carey, Julie and Todd come on board, commented Jonathan Keeton, Radium creative director/co-founder. They bring diverse experience and know-how from the television, film and commercial disciplines, which will enhance our dynamic creative process.

Crosby joins Radium with 18 years on the agency side and 10 years of running a production service company. She has been an exec producer of Hal Riney and Partners, San Francisco, director of Broadcast Production of GSD&M, Austin, co-founder/exec producer of Red Ball Tiger, San Francisco and president/exec producer of Roaring Tiger Films. Crosby branched into providing production services at the request of one of her clients and has considerable expertise in nearly all aspects of broadcast production. Crosby will focus on the production process at Radium and help to develop the talent on the production side of the company. Roaring Tiger Films will continue to run under the guidance of exec producer Tom Ruge.

Goldberg comes to Radium with almost 12 years of industry experience under her belt. Most recently, she was vfx producer in the Commercial Division at Digital Domain, where she worked on commercials for EA Games, Nike, American Express and AFLAC. Goldberg initially joined Digital Domain in 1999 as vfx coordinator for the Feature Films division contributing her expertise to the films O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? and X-MEN. She then left to pursue freelance opportunities including a stint as an independent producer for Electronic Arts marketing department. Previous positions for Goldberg include vfx producer at Charlex, Image Design, Blink.fx and R/GA.

Before coming to Radium in 2004, Hemsley was a freelance inferno and flame compositor on commercials and films for various companies, including Method, Entity FX, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Rhythm & Hues and yU & Co. He has lent his talent to the films CHARLIES ANGELS, HOLLOW MAN, THE OTHERS, SPY GAMES and WEATHERMAN, and television shows SMALLVILLE, THE DREW CAREY SHOW AND SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH. Hemsley has also worked on numerous commercials such as Nike, Adidas, Target, Sony PS2, Nokia and Visa.

San Francisco and Santa Monica-based Radium (www.radium.com) was founded in 1996 by creative directors/visual effects directors Jonathan Keeton and Simon Mowbray.
