Race for the White House Webtoon Takes Jab at 44th Presidency

Aniboom (www.aniboom.com) has premiered RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE, its first original animated comedy series that follows the misadventures of Clinton, Giuliani, McCain and Obama as they sprint toward the Oval Office.

Written by four-time Emmy-nominated writer Gabe Abelson, the series leverages the talent from Bulgaria, Israel, the U.S., Croatia and India via Aniboom's online Creators Studio, where animators and directors have the opportunity to pitch, produce and monetize original animated series.

RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE chronicles the presidential candidates mudslinging their way to the 44th presidency of the United States against the backdrop of classic films and popular TV shows, including SURVIVOR, 24, THE WIZARD OF OZ and STAR WARS.

Abelson, who draws from his more than a decade writing for TV shows such as POLITICALLY INCORRECT, LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN and THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, also contributed first-hand perspective from his tenure writing jokes and speeches for both Bill and Hillary and punching up speeches for other top politicos inside the Beltway.

"THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE is my first animated series for the Web, and I had a lot of fun writing it," said Abelson. "Animation allowed me to go as far as my imagination could take me. Where besides the world of animation could I transform Al Gore into both Darth Vader and Barak Obama's father?"

"By producing THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE virtually, we were able to leverage the creative genius from various pockets around the world and bring tremendous efficiencies to the project," said Uri Shinar, founder and president of Aniboom and broadcast industry veteran. "As entertainment production continues to shift, we are excited to be at the forefront with such as demonstrable success."
