Punch TV Studios Launches Punch Animation

Legendary animators Floyd Norman and Leo Sullivan to lead new animation studio.

Hollywood, CA-based Punch TV Studios announced that it is rebranding and relaunching the Urban Television Network as a new animation division that will focus on the development of animated television series and movies for syndication. Punch Animation has tapped renowned animators Floyd Norman and Leo Sullivan as president of creative development and chief operating officer, respectively.

Norman (aged 81) worked with Walt Disney himself on such films as Sleeping Beauty (1959), 101 Dalmatians (1961) and The Jungle Book (1967) as well as more recent films like Toy Story 2 (1999) and Monsters, Inc. (2001).

Sullivan is an Emmy award-winning animator/filmmaker known for his work on the TV series Flash Gordon, Pac-Man, Iron Man, Tiny Toons Adventures, Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones. He has more than 50 years of experience in the field of animation and has taught at The Art Institute of California-Orange County, guest lectured at UCLA and Compton College Animation Arts Departments, worked with numerous community organizations and has taught and mentored youths who have gone on to work for major animation studios.

Punch Animation reports that it is already producing new concepts and ideas for licensing and distribution around the world.
