The Powerpuff Girls Save Christmas In Special Dec. 12

The Powerpuff Girls have a new mission to save Christmas everywhere in 'TWAS THE FIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, an all-new 60-minute holiday special that debuts at 9:00 pm Dec. 12, 2003.

Princess, Townsville's greediest little girl, has hatched a fiendishly foul plot: to trick Santa into turning her into the fourth Powerpuff Girl. To do so, she managed to switch Santa's lists at the North Pole, making St. Nick believe the Powerpuff Girls have been naughty. Since the Powerpuff Girls are made up of sugar and spice (and they're always nice!) the girls are shocked to find themselves on Santa's not-so-nice list. Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup explode into a Yuletide winter blizzard of bad-girl thwarting action to put Princess in her place (on Santa's permanent naughty list) and keep Christmas from disappearing forever.

THE POWERPUFF GIRLS: 'TWAS THE FIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS was released direct-to-video by Warner Home Video on Oct. 7, with a SRP of $19.98 for DVD and $9.94 for VHS. Extras on the DVD include a bonus cartoon "Dexter Versus Santa Claws," a special Powerpuff Girls "We Three Girls" music video, trailers and a music video featuring recording artists Cherish.

The Cartoon Network Studio in Burbank, California, produced the special and series, created by Craig McCracken.
