Postman Pat Delivers New Season

The U.K.s favorite postman and his faithful black and white cat, Jess, return to television in a brand new, action-packed series of 26 episodes and four half hour specials, to be shown on BBC2 and CBeebies, as of Sept. 6, 2004. POSTMAN PAT airs Monday through Friday at 8:30 am on BBC2 and at 8:30 am, 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm on CBeebies.

Eveready and never absent, Postman Pat is a one-man mail machine on a mission to deliver the post -- by any means necessary. The new series sees the mean and lean Pat coping with extreme weather conditions and funny circumstances to ensure Ted Glen, Mrs. Goggins, the Bains Family and all the other residents of Greendale get their post by breakfast.

Pat and his ever-faithful companion Jess the Cat dont just rely on his little red van, they will employ motorbikes, sledges or rollerblades, even snowboards, to keep the deliveries going. Produced by Entertainment Rights in association with Cosgrove Hall Films and Cbeebies, POSTMAN PAT engages and captivates children by representing a real-life world featuring everyday characters that children can both relate to and have fun with as well as its underlying values of community, of helping one another and of sharing.
