PorchLight Ent. & Coneybeare Stories Ink Distribution Deal For Monster Warriors

Toronto-based Coneybeare Stories has inked an agreement with PorchLight Ent. for international TV distribution rights to MONSTER WARRIORS. PorchLight picks up 52 half-hour episodes for a MIP-TV launch.

The series now airs on Canadas YTV network and around the globe. Season 1 has already been sold to Australia, Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Singapore, India, Bosnia, as well as other territories in Eastern Europe.

I see MONSTER WARRIORS as an unprecedented hybrid of CGI and live action," said Coneybeare Stories president/founder Wilson Coneybeare. "Its cinematic nature makes it something new in kids programming. PorchLight Ent. is perfectly suited to represent this kind of innovation in the international marketplace.

MONSTER WARRIORS brings back the tone and style of comicbook and movie successes of such classics as Batman and Superman. Coneybeare said MONSTER WARRIORS takes those styles and mixes them with the monster stories of the 50s to bridge the gap between past and future. At the same time, the show uses cutting edge technology mixed with live action to create an arresting new visual sensibility that appeals tremendously to todays techno-savvy youth market, he continued.

We are thrilled to represent this exciting and unique new youth series to the global market," said PorchLight Ent. execs Bruce D. Johnson and William T. Baumann. "MONSTER WARRIORS is the ideal complement to our library of high-quality and high-profile childrens entertainment programming.
