Plympton School of Animation Re-Opens with 2-Month Intensive

Two-month intensive course addressing every phase of making short animated films starts January 9 and runs every Monday night from 6-8 pm.

Bill Plympton is going to re-open the Plympton School of Animation for a two-month intensive course. Starting on January 9, 2017, every Monday night from 6-8 pm, the king of hand-drawn animation will hold lectures at his studio about every phase of making short animated films, with drawing lessons and tips that he’s learned from his 50-year career as an illustrator and filmmaker.

The curriculum will cover story ideas, storyboarding, character design, humor, the “Plympton Dogma,” post-production, festivals, distribution and crowd-funding, with guest lectures from Plymptoons staffers.

Capacity is very limited -- for more information, please read the details and contact info posted here. Participants will get a signed degree and the experience needed to make their own animated films!

And if you can’t make it to NYC for the classes, Plymptoons will also be offering the lectures as a weekly private online course. Email studio@plymptoons.com (link sends e-mail) for details!
